*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Class A CDL Hazmat Tanker Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting hazardous materials via tanker trucks while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Your expertise in commercial driving, route management, and handling specialized freight will ensure timely deliveries and the highest standards of safety. *Duties*
* Safely operate Class A commercial tractor-trailers, including tanker trucks equipped for hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
* Load and unload freight efficiently using proper handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
* Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers, including tankers and hopper bottom trailers.
* Follow designated routes for delivery and pick-up, maintaining accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
* Load, secure, and transport hazardous materials following strict safety protocols to prevent spills or accidents during transit.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries, provide updates on delivery status, and resolve any issues promptly.
* Maintain compliance with all safety standards related to manual transmission operation, tanker handling, freight security, and route driving.
*Qualifications*
* Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement required; Tanker endorsement required.
* Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on freight delivery—delivery driver experience is highly valued.
* Experience driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, roll-off trucks or similar equipment is a plus.
* Knowledge of load & unload procedures for hazardous materials and freight handling regulations.
