What You'll Do:
Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Complete DOT-required vehicle inspections and documentation
Haul tanker freight safely and efficiently
Load, unload, and secure cargo according to customer requirements
Protect freight throughout transport
Maintain accurate electronic logs and required DOT records
Communicate with dispatch using PeopleNet
Obtain required customer paperwork and signatures
Report maintenance concerns promptly
Represent Puryear Tank Lines professionally with every customer interaction
Attend required safety meetings and training
What We're Looking For:
Valid Class A CDL
Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements (Required)
Active TWIC Card
Minimum of 2 years of Class A driving experience
High school diploma or GED
Safe driving record meeting company standards
Ability to pass:
DOT physical
Drug and alcohol screening
Criminal background check
Pre-employment road test
Physical abilities test
Strong commitment to safety
Professional attitude and customer-focused mindset
Good communication skills
Truck Specifications:
2010 or newer tractor preferred
Truck must pass inspection by the Puryear Tank Lines maintenance team before being placed into service
Puryear Tank Lines will install all company lettering
Equipment must meet all DOT compliance standards
