Description
The Driver/Backup Material Handler will transport goods to and from local Carefree facilities as well as vendor and supplier locations, primarily within the Denver Metro area. This position will be responsible for the loading and unloading of goods, the pre and post trip vehicle inspections, and verification of materials to be delivered and received. When not driving, this position will assist with general material handling duties in the Receiving department. This position reports to the Receiving and Inventory Manager.
The essential duties of the Driver/Backup Material Handler position include, but are not limited to:
The safe, accurate and on-time delivery and pick-up of various materials and products used in our manufacturing processes.
Daily fleet vehicle pre and post trip inspections, loading and unloading of goods to/from fleet vehicles.
Verification that both the paperwork (packing slips, bills of lading, etc.) and goods are delivered.
Assist in the picking and preparation of out shop goods and other products.
Perform back-up Warehouse Material Handler duties including consolidating and cleaning in the warehouse when time permits.
Representing Carefree in the most positive light in the community and areas in which driving is completed.

Qualifications include but are not limited to:
Current Colorado Driver’s License with driving record in compliance with Company Vehicle Driving policy.
Confidence and comfort driving a box truck or pickup truck in a variety of weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong communication skills allowing for positive interactions with coworkers, individuals from other departments, suppliers & vendors.
Ability to alternate between sitting, standing and walking throughout shift depending upon whether driving or performing other warehouse duties.
Ability to carry and/or lift various materials varying in weight up to 75 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
Willingness and ability to cross train and work in other warehouse areas if business needs warrant.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position is anticipated to start between $19.00 and $22.00.
